This brand photo session with Columbia wedding planner Jessica Rourke is still one of my favorites of all time. We started our session at Jessica’s shared studio space with Fern Studio.

Their space at the time (and now for the Fern Studio team) is dripping with inspiration. The light is always so dreamy, and being surrounded by such incredible women is always inspiring.

We started our session with office vibes; these detail shots are some of my favorites. The fiddle leaf fig was also such a vibe and I still hope mine gets to this size one day. I also loved the industrial feel softened by the plants and textures (like velvet) in the space. Jessica was also one of my first clients to lean into the mood board wall, a staple I still love.

701 Whaley Brand Session

For the second half of our session, we made our way to 701 Whaley. This local Cola wedding venue is stunning and drenched in light. They have the most amazing painted walls that add a unique element to any event.

Jessica set up the most amazing tablescape for the second half of her session. Florals from Sarah and her team brought the design together, and Jessica chose stunning flatware.

I had the best time chatting with Jessica during her session. Her portraits were so much fun. We made sure to document a handful of creative shots in addition to more posed headshots. The movement shot is also one of my favorites, and my clients often still ask for these all these years later. I’m happy to oblige, of course.
